WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITY AT HARTSHEAD PRODUCTIONS

I am in desperate need of some help on the 26th 27th and 28th October. Do you have any students who are competent with a camera who would be willing to work with us on these days.

The Job is filming a dance festival and it will be a long day as filming starts at 9am 30 min for lunch and then finished around 8pm. If it helps we could pay minimum wage to whoever does it for us.

I would need to have to meet them to discuss this further to make sure they know what it entails.

I need to get this arranged ASAP so your help would be greatly received.

GUIDELINES FOR RESEARCH INTO TV COMPANY

Pick a TV company - is it a public/private/independent/commercial company? What does this mean?

What sections does the company own or is part of?

What are it's flagship shows?

What is it's remit?

Who is it's competition and which is more successful and why (profit, audience ratings - BARB)?

How does this type of organisation affect it's viewers, funding, competition etc

Please put all this information together to discuss in tomorrow's lesson.

Job roles in the TV and film industry

TASK 1
Research the range of job roles within management, creative and technical areas in the TV and film industries see links provided below).

TASK 2
Join into a group of 3 and each build a separate flowchart on the job roles in management, creative and technical (for either TV or film) showing the responsibilities of those within these roles and how career paths can be built between roles. Link completed flowchart to your blog and share with your team, informing them of the area you have studied.
